Badminton rackets can be expensive and it would be wise to know the basics before you buy. If you are a novice player, you do not need to spend much on a racquet. A cheaper Badminton Racquet nicely. Aim to spend about  £ 30 maximum. There are a lot of good around Snowshoe at that price.
There are some basics to look for any badminton racquet, the most important are the weight, balance, shape of head, flexibility and grip size.
Most rackets weigh between 80-100 grams. More weight to give you the extra power, but less maneuverability. A heavy racquet is more difficult to swing in the air, but it will be more stable than a lighter racket. A light racquet will swing more speed and maneuverability, the cost of energy and stability. The lightest badminton i have encountered is the Karakal SL-70 and weighs only 70 grams. The weight before adding your strings and overgrip, so you should be aware of that.
Yonex are the most popular manufacturer badminton rackets and have their own unique system for determining the weight, the system U, which is U = 95-100g all the way 4U = 80-84g. Other officials racket have their own way of doing things and are different from Yonex. A novice player should not worry about the weight of so many things, it is much more important to focus on your skills in badminton.
A balanced badminton racquet refers to just that. There are three kinds heavy head, light head, and balanced. Head heavy rackets provide more weight at the top of the swing, giving more power and stability in contact with the shuttle. Head light rackets you will swing the bat faster, but less weight means less power and stability. Same balanced rackets give you a feeling neutral.
The classic shape of the head is generally oval, but you can also Buy isometric head shapes. The isometric head is more square, which creates a larger sweet spot. If you can hit the shuttle in the middle of the head racket that you will be hitting the sweet spot. With an expanded sweet spot you'll have more chance to get shots off center. For a novice it could be a useful advantage
The flexibility of the racket refers to the amount that is Flex. A stiff racquet will have less flexibility and as such it is unforgiving for a beginner. A flexible racquet will obviously be more flexible, giving the beginner a little more power, as you have a kind of sling Indeed shot, but the drawback is that you have less control. You should buy a stiff flex racket when your technique is up to, if you may get shoulder problems, as the vibration of hitting the shuttle moves through your arm and your shoulder joints.
Grip sizes also come with different systems. Yonex Badminton G have their system, which runs from G2 (the largest) to G5 (the smallest). Other brands use of small, medium and large enterprises. Your grip size is your personal preference, everyone is different.
These are the basics of snowshoeing badminton and I hope this will help you when you choose your next racquet.
