For me, the holiday season has always been the most rewarding time of year as a child interested in hunting. I had all the problems of deer and deer hunting magazine to fill during non-holiday months. But hearing and seeing hunting as a child can never be replaced .. these memories will stay with you the rest of your years. At Christmas and Thanksgiving, we started a tradition. My grandfather, God rest his soul, used to sit after dinner and tell us all stories of deer hunting he remembered growth. To me, their were no stop best story that has lived.

It seemed to restore his memories in great detail the color HD in my mind. Many of these stories are ephemeral, at best, I'm sure he added his own touches little exaggerated but at the time it did not matter. It is what stories Deer Camp did for me in the magazine D & DH during low season as well. My father used to call my grandfather a bullshitter and never fully understood only after growing up and living life for myself. I believe that life needs bullshitters to continue this tradition of deer hunting we all learned to love.

I always watch what I say because with their PC could be a child here on the collection of hunting stories, as I have gathered from my grandfather. While the word shit was one of those sacred words as a kid you said just out of ear shot of Mom and Dad. It had its own mystical about this quite the time.

When I was young, a display rack at the rear of truck with a gun on her was normal. I remember one year my father and me, when working outside in a blizzard near. Our house was surrounded by woods. The snow was so heavy that it has used to build on sagging branches of excess weight snow .. making it look like Christmas is supposed to resemble each year. We expected my favorite uncle to arrive and he has done with his spokesman weapons in circulation and carrying it in his old Ford truck.

As it happens ran out of his vehicle with his gun in his hand and said, pointing the light this enormous partridges. At the time, the partridge appears to be three feet high as he sat on an old willow branch robust. His head and shoulders were covered with snow and sat their watching my uncle. Suddenly you hear boom and feathers go everywhere as when you bust open a feather pillow your mother She got you for Christmas. Looking you see a partridge in all its glorious splendor, on field. Yea wrote these memories are sacred and worth about.

Thanks for reading my article. I have been hunting for 30 years of my life. Some of my idles when growing up were Robert Wegner, Lennie Lee Rue III and Ernest Seton-Thompson just to name a few. Their writing instilled in me as a hunter a love for whitetail deer not to mention deer camp lore.

I am a traditional bow hunter and an a avid fan of Bear Archery. Since I can remember Bear Archery has been always my first choice when buying a recurve bow. I am an aspiring writer and part time photographer hoping to one day write for the many outdoor publications offered to the hunting camps world wide. This is one of my many internet ventures in hopes to successfully reach that goal.

Please feel free to check out my tree stand buyer’s guide I authored at http://treestandguide.com It is a 5 part article cover the types of tree stands currently on the market and the pro’s and con’s of each.
