Dove Hunting: A Dove Hunting Typcal
Dove hunting is very interesting. If you've never been and is interested in knowing what happens, this description will all the information you need to get started.
Usually everyone gets up and left the field as the gray light approaches, the new day is emerging.
When I grew up, dove hunting started at 12 noon 'till 30 minutes after sunset. And so they did not have to get up early as it does now.
Everyone is excited and anticipating the new hunting season, because that is what is dove hunting – the hunting season early months of years of hunting. Everyone is ready and until we go deer hunting … long before daylight getting their team together.
You go to the field, and everyone extends to a safe distance from each other. Just sit there on a stool or standing … whatever the preference of a person is. And wait for the birds to start flying around.
Typically, you hunt in fields of cereal or some kind of attractive. Many of the boys hunt in gravel pits before because a bird has to have some kind of gravel on the gizzard and the crop of his. The crop is where they keep the seed stocks. As digestion begins, who falls into the gizzard. These rocks they eat to grind the seed itself. And so as the bird gets its nutrition.
Thus gravel pits and areas of gravel are good. Depends on where you are as to what kind of attractive that they have access. There are several different types of hunting camps for more than one person.
We normally hunt in sorghum or maize as it was when I was growing up in the area. Sunflowers are probably the best attractant. But other areas in different parts of the country could have fields of soy or peanut fields … all kinds of different attractants.
Then in the afternoon a normally hunt over the water where the birds come in, have a drink before bedtime, and then they go to roost.
In general, Worldwide leads the field in their trucks, extending, and waitw for birds to start flying.
That's how the dove hunting is typical. It is a very social event. You is able to shout at each other, "Hey, Joe, you're flying over you." And then if you lose one, there are plenty of jokes going on. Therefore, it is a time very nice.
For some individuals, dove hunting is the only type of hunting they do only for social activity, rather than the hunt itself. I hear it all time … do not much meat out of a dove. It's not like you're going to fill the freezer. So you're there for more social than the actual meeting of meat.
