What load of the factory is suggested for hunting deer with my 357 MAG?
Looking to use my MAG 357 for deer hunting this year. Me have said it is a bit of light side for deer. Shot very well at 40 meters with red dot scope, so probably going to get my limit. I have a 6 1 / 2 "revolver.
There is less power to 75yds in good hands. I killed myself a couple with 38SPL trademarks of 35.40 m using 125 + P and 158grn points hole. MAG in the 158 would be fine with a good beat. You also have the advantage is using the 38 in the 357, because it is exchangeable. 38 in 357, but 357 in 38 due to the pressure difference. You appear to have a good set in moderate range. Good luck
