The East Coast is rich in history from Florida to Maine, and rich beaches. The most famous beach in South Carolina is in Myrtle Beach. It is considered a desirable vacation spot for many people – and with sixty miles of beautiful sandy beaches, it is little wonder why. Part of the area known as the Grand Strand is Huntington Beach. It is located in historic Murrells Inlet and is only a few minutes from the famous Brookgreen Garden. The sands of beautiful and historic Isle of Palms is an ideal place to stop and see a sunrise. Its shimmering sands and blue Crystal Waters is a magnificent spectacle. Not far from the Isle of Palms Kiawah Island is a small beach and golf resort located on a small island barrier just south of the city of Charleston, South Carolina. The island was named for the local Native American tribe of the Kiawah Indians, who led the British at Charleston Landing in 1720. Known as the golf destination of choice, Kiawah Island offers five different winning award courses, such as the Turtle Point Golf Course, designed by professional golfer, Jack Nicklaus. There is also the Ocean Course, which was designed by Pete Dye golf and three other golf courses.

Hunting Island and Edisto Island are also very beautiful beaches with stunning attractions. Hunting Beach has many types of wildlife for wildlife observers. The Great Blue Heron and osprey and bald eagles make their home here and we can see wherever you go. The same is true for many different types of aquatic life such as alligators and horseshoe crabs. Edisto Island is an island between the rivers Edisto which are North and South Island. It offers various recreational opportunities, including numerous golf courses and local restaurants.
