I visited the Paulding Forest WMA Georgia this weekend, and at first I was extremely angry. The map was terrible I do terrible. I feel that we will soon lose that AGF Georgia because it seems that the closer we get to lose a WMA Georgia, plus maps for the MA and there are more and more private houses that flourished especially Georgia WMA.
Anyway, I finally am familiar with the region, and after I made some roads, and where I was, I found some cool places to share with everyone. I stopped at a small barbecue joint called Wallace Hickory House, and it was absolutely the best barbecue sandwich I have ever had, it was very moist and juicy, and the Brunswick stew was pretty good, a little softer than I prefer, but still very good. I would like actually take the long hour drive there from my house, just for another of their sandwiches. They were located just around the corner of Ga. Highway 101 Goldmine Rd
I also found a very nice campground located approx. 10 minutes outside of Georgia Paulding Forest WMA. Camping is called The Rock. The Rock is located at 130 Forsyth Lake Rd. Rockmart, Ga. 30153. Now, here's whats so awesome about this place. They have these awesome little boxes you can remain in the were like thirty dollars per night, and they had a large area of open-air concert of country, bluegrass and rock bands from the south. There were sites Tenet, RV sites, picnic tables, picnic, everything you need for an overnight stay in Nice.
If you need a good breakfast, the best I could find the nearest of the WMA Georgia is a small store that had a little dinner buffet with fried chicken and fried steak very great, and they also served breakfast breakfast each morning, seven days a week. The cookies were made fresh and I really hit the spot that morning. The store name is Scott Market Country Cooking, sorry, no telephone number, but they are located on Goldmine RD.
There was another little BBQ place I have found Merles called BBQ, sorry, I didn't try the food, I went, I was already stuffed from other places I tried, and I just wanted to taste their stew. The stew was great, and they still had a great looking pies homemade Peach on the counter. Im going to try to leave this place off until my next visit, but based on the appearance of the site Im sure its great. If someone tries robins, leave a comment and let the I know.
The only thing that would have made this visit was an awesome lake fishing well where I could fish the night, but anyway I'll try to find a good fishing spot in the area next time I'm at Paulding Forest WMA, and update maps once I find one. I'm in the process of building a library card Georgia WMA showing improved roads corrected and non-commercial Diners Ma and Pop places and inexpensive to stay while visiting the AGF Georgia. Well thats all until my next company, and meanwhile, happy hunting on Georgia AGF
