Training your hunting dog – easy ways to teach your dog!
Many hunters prefer to train their own hunting dogs, this is for several reasons. Many times dogs will respond and obey only one person to take command, if this person is not the hunter, there will be plenty of problems in the field. The other reason is that the hunter can have total control over what your dog learns, and how they learn. A real hunter will have more confidence in a dog if you have played an important role in the training process. While it may seem overwhelming at first, training a dog is not so difficult, most hunters proud and enjoy the process. There are some supplies, however, that every hunter should use to train your hunting dog.
One of the simplest, yet most of the supplies Effective dog training is the use of the treat for dogs. This technique is well known and used for good reason, is quite possibly the most effective way to train a dog. A good way to teach your dog obedience and strength of will is to put the treatment on the nose and not allowed to eat until you say so. This is certainly a difficult task for any dog to achieve, but with time and patience by the hunter, you can do. The longer the dog is able to stop treatment in the nose, the better. When the hunter tells the dog to get treatment, the dog will learn that when he hears his owner, good will happen. The best is when a dog is starting to use a lot of goodies in training, but as training progresses many prefer to alternate the reward the reward treatment affection. When a hunter in the field and well-behaved dog, the hunter will probably have a gift for the dog, the dog needs to learn that the attention of owner is just as important.
Another tool used by many dog trainers is the whistle. This can be used in different ways, and how you choose to use will be up to their own preference. Most trainers use a whistle to call attention to the dog if the dog is not paying attention, or is far in the field, flying a short stroke with the whistle is an effective way to turn your dog. The other way in which the coaches use the whistle is the punishment. While a short stroke is not disturbed, a longer, will be hardest hit. When they do something wrong it can be an effective way so that they know is wrong. Some coaches even use the whistle of two ways, either way, your dog is forced to learn the lesson.
