how much does it cost to take care of a new redbone coonhound puppy?
i am wanting to get a redbone coonhound puppy and train him to be a good coon hunting dog, but was wondering howmuch it would cost to take care of him. like how much per month and/ or yearly basis. Things that should be included in the amout (to take care of him) should be training, ( or maybe i could do that myself) dog food, supplies, colloar, and normal things that a dog should have , and things that a good coonhound dog may need. If you could give me a good estimate of the price i would need to take care of him would be, then please tell me. Also i live on 6 acres and have a ton of woods that i could train him on, but there are alot of neighbors near my land. and i also adopted a german shepherd and golden retriver mix from the pound in 7/15/08, and want to know if they woud get along together and wouldn’t be to much to take care of. if you could answer any of these questions, then please do. thanks alot
I worked in a vet office for a little while my advice is too make sure you have a good amount of money, puppies will need a series of vaccines from 8 weeks to a year then from a year they will need certain vaccines threw out there life yearly, you will need to get the tags for your area so that you don’t get in trouble dogs are pretty much a 12 to 14 year responsibility so just make sure you have enough time if you sign up on some kind of wellness plan with your local vet the costs are a lot cheaper, i know Banfield the pet hospital has them, they are located in PetSmarts good luck and remember it may sound like alot of stuff but having a buddy with you is worth it.
