hunting trips in colorado

What are good tracking / guidance of the species in Colorado and the Rocky Mountains?
My brother-in-law is an avid hunter, I'm not. I would like to buy him a book for Christmas, and since it has a hunting trip to Colorado coming in a few months, I thought a good field guide can be cool. Any suggestions? I was thinking of something that has photos of follow-up, or can be a guide to the species. Does that sound right? I've seen these books, any ideas on this? http://www.borders.com/online/store/TitleDetail?sku=0881929492 http://www.borders.com/online/store/TitleDetail?sku=1885106556 Thanks in advance for your advice!
