hunting questions

Start a career in the hunting spirit!

In the past five years as a paranormal investigator I have tried to answer many questions dealing of the paranormal. Certainly, I am not an expert by any means.

Since some of these questions have focused on the areas where I feel I have some competition – cognitive psychology, mental illness, brain disorders, vision – I feel I've been able to give an adequate response. If I do not feel I have the background necessary to answer a specific question, I will refer the individual to people who do.

There is a question that has been requested repeatedly that surprised me. I would say that most – but not all – of the people I have asked this question have been teenagers.

The question is always some variation of …

"I have decided I want to be a ghost hunter, you know of a job. I sure about it, you know how I can do this? "

Even with my limited knowledge, I was willing to address this issue.

I can only assume that the recent popularity of such shows as Ghost Hunters, Most Haunted, Paranormal State, and others has led to belief – at least in people's question – to be a paranormal investigator is a legitimate career path.

Therefore, I say no uncertainty, that ghost hunting is probably not a viable career option.

I think the popularity of the touch field on the basis of human existence … consider the question asked, is there an afterlife? Of course everyone is interested. However, lets take a step back and consider the tie as a career.

You get to travel, get into a cool, which seems to be a relatively easily accessible everyone, and can be on TV and become famous! There are some basic human needs met here, and be considered great because of their Work is something we can all live. Who does not want to be recognized and admired by his peers?

Thus, we find understanding some of the reasons for seeking a career as a ghost hunter: Prestige, recognition, fame as possible, working to find the answer one of the most important issues of life and death.

But …

Realize that some people respected in the field have been doing this for years, and most do not have their own TV show or maybe do a significant amount of money doing it. People work for years to get a level of expertise in a subject. Sudden stars like Jason and Grant of TAP have been conducting research paranormal for years, but major careers are (or were) as plumbers.

The people whom I consider paranormal investigators most respected and acquaintances are people like Troy Taylor, Jon Zaffis and Lloyd Auerbach. I'm not aware of the educational and professional backgrounds of these people, but I think they are able to do something in a life working in the field of the paranormal. None of them has a famous TV show, but all are carried out by the authors, teachers, and teachers willing to share their knowledge. Mr. Taylor – with the known sensitivity of the Midwest to tell it like it is – specifically says that avoids the celebrity, having chosen

not to go that way long ago.

In my eyes, these people are giants, without which shows how ghost hunters not exist.

Now we come to money. How can I earn money as an investigator of the paranormal?

While some Researchers charge for their services, I would say most do not. Groups often accept donations, even going so far as to set up a PayPal account on your website (Which I consider very bad taste by the way). Our group accepts donations, and although we received some, certainly not covered the expenses.

So Where does this leave us?

People are making money in this field are the authors, lead tour groups, lecture, teach classes, and perhaps make money from Web site advertising or sale of ghost hunting equipment. Some also offer marketing services for companies paranormal – something to offer for free. The rarest are the very small percentage of people who have a TV show and / or act as consultants for the entertainment industry.

At least I can say.

I should note that I have been in contact with three different television producers over the past 5 years (via e-mail) looking for people to audition for new television programs based on the paranormal. Okay, but I'm not a researcher out or well known, the danger for me that I was one of 1000's of people contacted. Sure, you might like my website, amateur and perhaps I saw my picture, but I suppose that these opportunities are rare.

Visit the Spirit of the International Society Hunter (Dave and Sharon Oester) in Mass Paranormal www.ghostweb.com www.massparanormal.net or if you want examples of people who probably are capable of financing their time doing paranormal investigations through of their activities. I respect these two groups and their websites are definitely worth a look.

There are many ways to make money, but it is a researcher, usually has to do it for one of the ways I've mentioned above.

So where does a career as a hunter ghost?

I advise people that ghost hunting is a pastime. If you can find a way to earn sufficient income to finance hobby through donations, you are a ghost hunter success. If you can build a popular website, the paranormal and earn money through advertising and Selling products online, you are a ghost hunter success. If you can earn income from teaching a workshop, you are a ghost hunter success.

But it is better to choose something over a long term stable career.

If you are very, very seriously search for the paranormal, not a career real to you as a psychologist. Do you have to start to earn his degree in psychology, to obtain a graduate degree (PhD) in parapsychology and then probably get a job teaching at a university. Technically, its not a ghost hunter career, but you are more likely to earn enough money to fund their research. Spirit will not be hunting for a job, would remain a hobby – as it is for me and the other 99% of ghost hunters out there. Of course, you will be very qualified to carry out research into reality.

Therefore, for all you hunters ghost track race there, Good luck!

Does anyone have any other ideas? I love to hunt for ghosts enough money to pay my mortgage.
