How can a non-resident, buy a gun in Texas?
I am a resident of California, but I am a student in Texas. I want to buy a hunting rifle in Texas, but can not buy from a dealer outlet. I was told I could purchase firearms at a gunshow. Is this true? If so, what are the rules for a nonresident to purchase a rifle at a gun show? Are there other options for non-residents? Can I, for example, buying a rifle online from a store in California and have it shipped to an FFL in Texas?
BS has been reading No federal laws that say you can not buy a gun for long term in other states. A federal law that says you can only buy firearms in contiguous states. TX had a state law that prevented non-contiguous state of residence purchase a long gun, but I'm pretty sure that recently passed a law removing this provision. The laws at gun shows are the same as not fair weapons. Do not listen to liberals, anti-gun BS. I suggest that you contact a gun shop and ask, TX. They would be happy to make this clear. I also say that a lot places (Wal-Mart and the Academy … and even some gun stores) people do not know the law and tell you things wrong. . . nothing wrong with these places, just lots of ignorance in the world.
