I love watching horror movies, but nine times out of ten heroes are poorly prepared and I'm calculating that better ways of doing things to survive. I tend to keep the same answer for any question related to zombies and cut, paste and add when necessary, because it is too much work to write this again and again, so here goes: 1. As a nurse I can tell you within three days or less after death and reanimation, the zombies are moving at almost normal, but after that, as stated in muscle breakdown and necrosis in to get more slow and clumsy. Within two weeks, the gel collapse in heaps of rotting flesh and organs, so forget the "fast-engines" Dawn of the dead. 2. I did not even try to escape, I have everything I need at home. And really, where do I go? I live in West Virginia, in a small town away from large population centers. If I had to clean, I'd be driving my Dodge Grand Caravan. It has enough space to get what they need and the size and weight to roll over of any right undead in my way. 3. The first thing I do is move my armor and weapons in the attic. (Never, ever take refuge in a basement or underground – is caught, since there is only one exit, and if they get through the door that has killed or worse.) I'm in the SCA, and my armor (chain mail coat and armor steel thick aircraft aluminum plate) is designed for sampling in full force at the speed of the baseball bat-like swords broken, so no zombie even has a hope of scratching. My arms are swords, several or all of which are complete construction and strong steel shank, and all that I can use it well. Guns are OK in a trouble, but require ammo and can jam at the wrong time. baseball bats, iron bars and other blunt weapons can do well, but not usually balanced combat and tend to be heavy tip that balance is thrown out of the swing and makes the gun harder and harder to handle. An ax is incredible cutting power, but only has a small effective leaf area and over is incredibly top-heavy. Machetes are thin, usually stamped sheet steel, and have little or no heat mild. A lack of "backbone" – the thicker center of the cross a road section, a machete tends to bend when used against bony structures thick. Fighting for almost twenty years in the SCA has taught me that the sword, well balanced (especially the Japanese katana) has the fastest recovery time and allows the warrior to attack and defend several times as a guitarist is the delivery of one or two attacks. Once I'm in the attic to pull down the stairs after me and even armor. If none of the zombies were in the house I would fall down the stairs and come to one at a time, because it is ridiculously easy to decapitate someone coming Head of a set of stairs. Fight on the doors and to limit the number of attackers that can come at any time. 4. Never go for the shot in the head a melee weapon – it can lodge in the skull. Always swing for the neck to cut the spine, or take your hands and legs. A legless zombie can not chase very well, and without hands can not grasp. The only "vital" organs is a zombie is your brain, so you should damage to the point where I can not say function sending electrical impulses to muscles, or completely separate from the body, ie decapitation. The attempt to push his weapon in a zombie body will not no real damage at all – instead of focusing on cutting the lower arm, hand areas, ankles, and of course the neck. Once the house was empty threats I put a barricade doors and windows and inventory of the amount of canned food had a lot to me and thousands of drum filling milk jugs with water as possible, and inventory of my first aid. Can not be assumed that electricity, gas and water remain long, so you eat any perishable food first and recharge electrical devices, such as an electric drill and a Sportlight (Mine is five million candlepower and can run for eight hours in total on a full charge). 5. Any restaurants in the area also suffer a loss of power and thus also their food spoiling. Food in their freezers can last a few days, yet it was a restaurant manager and I can say that nine out of ten times the freezer is locked. A better option for attacks Hall was canned foods supermarket and the pharmacy for antibiotics (I'ma nurse, I know what I'm looking for), but remember that you can also be in competition or conflict with other survivors for such resources, and wants to take what you have as well – may be forced to defend themselves against other human beings. The Good food choices are all canned goods, Ramen noodles, sweetened Kool-Aid packets, canned juices, candies, pudding cups, pop tarts, bottled water, and other non-perishable food unrefrigerated. Stay away from bread and milk, which break down too quickly. Focus on things that can be heated a campstove or over a campfire, and reconstituted with water, like Ramen noodles. If you are using bottled water for cooking, boiling for five minutes to kill any bacteria. 6. She soon recognized the area to see how many people had survived uninfected and eliminating any zombies around drawing out and participation in combat or not to two or three to get around. Always keep moving and changing its direction of travel frequently to prevent them from cut through the desired path or around him. I do not live near a cemetery, so the only undead around would have to be the newly dead. Any body (Human or animal) that has been dead for more than three weeks or so probably not simply revive the level of the current decline. Because of this you may wait days before examination to allow time viable undead to further decay. As their bodies begin to decompose would get slower and weaker increasingly easy to post or dodge. Within two or three weeks the whole zombie plague would fall apart, because the decay beyond any point of muscular viability. A zombie fresh, newly dead will be just as fast and strong as he was in life, but give it a few days and disintegrate. 7. "The mix" with them generally is not an option because they can smell blood and the meaning of his heart beating. Anyone trying to do is to commit suicide. 8. As for other "Hollywood" shelters, a'la Dawn of the Dead, I never, ever, the head of a mall or other large public space – too indefensible. Nor do I place my trust in the River islands as a refuge unless the current was deep and fast: zombies can not drown, so theoretically they can float to the island as much dead wood (and as established by the decline as swelling with gas and it would be more likely to float) or walk across the bottom (as the pirate crew was in POTC: CotBP) so that if the water is slow. Ocean islands are better, but make sure they are uninhabited first, and never dock your boat initially – anchor is a form of row and with a canoe, that way if there are too many to fight at first you can pick a few and then retire to your boat, rinse and repeat until the beach is clear. For me it's a moot point – I am far from the coast – but I live 150 meters from a large river deep and fast moving. Empty containers in Kanawha Ohio, Ohio, empties into the Mississippi and the Mississippi flows into the Gulf of Mexico, but it is a journey of a thousand miles. 9. I would use the canoe downstream Late transport, if the trailer was somewhat useless. If I had the opportunity to stay in a place which claimed it was easy to see that I was a survivor in order to avoid the fate of man in the Night of the Living Dead – living through the test just to confuse you a zombie and shot in the head. I like to go the attic and set up "camp" on the roof, radio, dome tent, and a large poster. What if I'm attracted to zombies? Without some form of they just get me on the floor mill until it slipped through the back of the house with our fire rope ladder (which remain on the roof) and decapitated about few at a time, as it gradually came around the house. I do not think that after three days, anyone would have the ability or coordination to climb, but I would like make it a priority to get fast the pioneers. 10. Various gear I have on hand at the moment it would be useful: Binoculars, Rope and Hook, Coleman lantern, 5-cell flashlight, matches or lighters, can opener, battery operated perimeter alarms, dining room, game room, campstove operated liquid fuel, sleeping bag, backpack, handcuffs, repair kit armor, hatchet, sharpening stone and metal file, toiletries, flare gun, inflatable raft and a canoe.
