How old is approperate take your child on a hunting trip?

My brother wants take my son for deer hunting. Think small? I remember at that age I wanted to go but my dad would not let me. He has this impression that girls do things feminine and game of children and men. So I've always wanted to go or go to the shooting range, but never had the chance. All my cousins go. I that my child should go, but my husband does not think it should. Yahoo also picked up more, so I went with it. For your information I did not thumbs down anyone … I do not think I want him to shoot a gun yet, but just to see the experience and spend some quality time with his uncle is a plus. My Friends Mom has a 22 is pink and very cute that she calls "little finger."
My father took me when I was about 7 or 8 … once. lol I was so excited to go hunting with dad to travel and be a big girl. Then, when in fact he saw the gun aimed at the deer broke nice to mourn him and had to take me home. I did not eat any meat product since I was 12 and stopped all red meat when he was 11. I'd say if you really think you can driving then go for it. If you are a sensitive child, I would wait until he is 10 or less. It can be very traumatic. It was for me. My dad really makes me regret at all, I think. Edit: I was not in the least critical. Just wanted to add. My dad is an avid hunter who travels around hunting out different animals. I totally get that this is a valid hobby. So … I was not trying to make a kind of point of anti-hunting or be a big animal activist in my post. Just giving my opinion.
